Last year I "upgraded" to a Boost LV . The ski is great apart from one issue: the footwell is always full of water. The bailer doesn't work for me. Unlike the Cruize , which has the same system that kicks in at around 4km/h, the Boost LV doesn't start draining until 8-10 km/h . Unfortunately this is far beyond my cruising speed.
The Atlas LV-3B, Atlas D Mercury Launch Vehicle or Mercury-Atlas Launch Vehicle, was a human-rated expendable launch system used as part of the United States Project Mercury to send astronauts into low Earth orbit. Atlas is a family of US missiles and space launch vehicles that originated with the SM-65 Atlas. The Atlas intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) program was initiated in the late 1950s under the Convair Division of General Dynamics. [2] .CONVAIR LV-3B / SM-65D ATLAS. America's Multi-Mission Rocket. Atlas rockets lifted some of the first US astronauts and satellites into Earth orbit in the 1960s. Atlas also was the first American nuclear intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM.
Atlas LV-3 Agena-B. Interactive 3D model of Atlas-Agena B. Late in 1960, Lockheed introduced the uprated Agena B stage which was restartable and had longer propellant tanks for more burn time. It first flew on the Thor and did not make its maiden voyage on an Atlas for months, when Midas 3 launched on July 12, 1961.Modular design to accommodate a full range of mission requirements. Atlas V uses a standard common core booster, up to five solid rocket boosters (SRBs), a Centaur upper stage in a single- or dual-engine configuration, and one of several sizes of payload fairings. The Mercury–Atlas, also known as Atlas LV-3B or Atlas D-Mercury, was developed from the Atlas intercontinental ballistic missile and manufactured by Convair as the launch vehicle for Project Mercury orbital launches. The Atlas LV-3B, Atlas D Mercury Launch Vehicle or Mercury-Atlas Launch Vehicle, was a human-rated expendable launch system used as part of the United States Project Mercury to send astronauts into low Earth orbit.
(NASA) The rocket, a “1-½ stage”, liquid-fueled Atlas LV-3B, number 113-D, was built by Convair at San Diego, California. It was developed from a U.S. Air Force Atlas D intercontinental ballistic missile, modified for use as a “man-rated” orbital launch vehicle.American orbital launch vehicle. Atlas D modified for use in Project Mercury. Status: Out of production. First Launch: 1961-04-25. Last Launch: 1963-05-15. Number: 10 . Payload: 1,360 kg (2,990 lb). Thrust: 1,587.19 kN (356,815 lbf). Gross mass: 116,100 kg (255,900 lb). Height: 25.00 m (82.00 ft). Diameter: 3.05 m (10.00 ft).Atlas LV-3B. The Atlas SLV-3 or SLV-3 Atlas was an American expendable launch system derived from the SM-65 Atlas / SM-65D Atlas missile. Most space launcher variants of the Atlas up to 1965 were derived from the D-series Atlas ICBM with custom modifications for the needs of the particular mission.
