The Rolex GMT-Master ref. 1675 is at the absolute top of the list. I love seeing a beaten-up 1675 with a jangly bracelet, a discolored bezel, and aged lume. There is something so incredibly appealing about seeing one on someone’s wrist.

For an in-the-know subset of watch lovers, worn-in character beats pristine perfection. These guys find charmingly beat-up watches cooler and more stylish, like a favorite faded pair of. I'm all for wearing your watch and not babying it - but some of the pics in here are just plain abusive (digging through the dirt?). When I'm doing something really dirty or messy, I'll strap on a G-Shock. No sense in pointlessly beating up on a watch costing several thousand $. If you have a broken Rolex already in your possession, it would be worth exploring options. If you want to retain the original parts of the watch, DO NOT send it to an authorized Rolex repair center.
