1. A 2824 datewheel will not swap over on to a 2836 movement as the underside profile is slightly different. 2. However, a 2836 datewheel does swap over on to a 2824 movement. 3. This seems primarily because the underside of the 2824 datewheel is completely flat, therefore will not engage properly. When setting your date on a an asian 2836-2 I suggest you do it this way. I have noticed a problem with the date corrector on the asian movement, since I have replaced several over the last couple of months.The caliber 2836-2 is based on the ETA caliber 2824-2 with the main difference being that the 2836 has a day-date calendar complication and the 2824 is date only.
